Extreme Sports

Extreme sports sometimes also refered as action sports is a general, somewhat hazily-defined term for a collection of newer sports involving adrenaline-inducing action. They often feature a combination of speed, height, danger and spectacular stunts. Levels of danger vary widely.Sports that take participants to extreme measures, where life and limb are at risk. Mistakes in these sports are costly and can result in serious injury or death of the competitor. These types of sports carry a stigmata of 'deaths'. Extreme sports are often associated with young adults wishing to push themselves to the limits of their physical ability and fear, in turn pushing the boundaries of a particular sport.A few of the more common types include; mountain biking, climbing and drag racing. Other kinds of extreme sports have developed from a familiar activity. Sports like mountain biking or stateboarding are the most often enjoyed by the player it require less traning.Other sports like paragliding and skydiving requires the participant to have certification before participating in the sport.

Skateboarding
Skateboarding can be a form of art, a hobby, or a method of transportation. This is probably the most well known of the extreme sports and has developed in popularity in a huge and lasting way since the 1960s. It was the skill and danger represented by competitors jumping out of quickly assembled half pipes, running down ramps, and incredibly along stair rails within the urban environment.

Snowboarding
Some of the tricks used in snowboarding are very similar to those used by the skateboarders.The sport was developed in the United States in the 1960s and the 1970s and became a Winter Olympic Sport in 1998.

BMX and Mountain Biking
BMX racing involves competitors racing around a prepared track with hills, special jumps and a series of other obstacles.

Freestyle skiing
Freestyle skiing involves the skiers coming down the slope and performing tricks and negotiating obstacles. Marks are awarded based on a series of spins, jumps and flips and this too has developed into an international sport.

Sport climbing
Sport climbing is a form or rock or mountain climbing. Climbing walls are common at many sports centers with a range of challenging climbs with varying difficulty.
