Multi-sports events
A multi-sport event is a competition in which athletes compete in a number of different sports. The first multi-sport event was organised in the olympic games. Organised by the International Olympic Committee in 1894. After some badly organised celebrations (1900, 1904), the Olympics became very popular. Initially only a few, number of sports are there but its still growing. At the beginning of the 20th century, another multi-sport event, the Nordic Games were first held.
There are many organisation are there which are organising multi sport event. like commanwealth games(The Commonwealth Games is a multinational, multi-sport event. Held every four years, it involves the elite athletes of the Commonwealth of Nations) , pan American games(The Pan American Games are a multi-sport event, held every four years between competitors from all nations of the Americas), Asian games, all Africa games etc.
Multi-sports include a combination of at least two of the areas of swimming, biking, or running events. An event that included only two of the three disciplines is called a duathlon and if it includes all three it is called a triathlon. Every multisport event demands diversity in training. Goldrush is a 375km Multi-sport event, set in the back country of Central Otago following the old trails opened up by the pioneers in their search for gold. It includes kayaking, mountain biking, running and road biking.
The main motto of the multi sports game is to provide athlets of all ages, all fitness levels, and all ability levels with knowledge and training opportunities in a fun, supportive, non-threatening environment in which each athlete identifies his individual sport goals, improves her health and fitness, and builds her self-confidence. Multi sports event games are having thier own rules of playing the game.
